Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a focus on improving social, emotional and behavioral outcomes for students with disabilities by providing quality comprehensive school social work services to all eligible students in Montcalm Area ISD.
Duties
- Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Provide counseling and support services to children and families facing challenges.
- Educate clients about available resources and services, empowering them to make informed decisions.
- Collaborate with Child Protective Services to ensure the safety and welfare of children.
- Engage in crisis management, providing immediate support during critical situations.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, assessments, and progress.
- Advocate for clients within the community, connecting them with necessary services.
- Work closely with schools to support students' emotional and social development.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices.
- Experience working with children in various settings (e.g., schools, childcare).
- Proficient understanding of child welfare policies and procedures.
- Ability to educate clients on relevant issues affecting their lives.
- Cultural diversity counseling skills to effectively engage with diverse populations.

Pay: $51,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
