Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Ensure that all food items are stored, prepared, and served in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Buss tables and clean dining areas after meals to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of dining services for each meal.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service.
- Maintain proper inventory of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Adhere to time management practices to ensure timely meal service.
- Follow all safety protocols while handling kitchen equipment and food items.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or as a Dietary Aide is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food production processes.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment within a hospital or assisted living setting.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy meal periods.
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with health regulations.
