Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in a hospital setting. This position involves working closely with the kitchen staff to prepare, serve, and clean up after meals, while adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Duties
- Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the supervision of the head cook or dietary manager.
- Help serve meals to patients, ensuring that each individual receives the correct diet as prescribed.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
- Participate in training sessions related to food preparation and safety protocols as required.
- Support other kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operation during meal service times.
