What are the responsibilities and job description for the ERSEA/FCE Clerk position at MONTCLAIR CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER?
This position is located at our Orange, NJ site and provides clerical support and maintains accurate and timely information in the ChildPlus system for the Enrollment, Recruitment, Selection, Eligibility, and Attendance (ERSEA) and Family and Community Engagement (FCE) service areas and reports to the ERSEA Manager. Duties: Conduct interviews with families to ensure complete and correct information is obtained in the application process based on program eligibility requirements. Obtain information from families. Data Entry: Enter information using the Child Plus system and scan documents to maintain in digital files. Correspond with applicants in person, by phone, and in writing. Assist with Early Head Start to Head Start eligibility verifications. Maintain applicant wait lists. Coordinate and attend recruitment events during the work day and occasionally during evenings and weekends. Answers phones and screens, refers calls, meets and greets visitors, and takes messages. Attend meetings and complete training. Supports front desk.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent;
Experience collecting and entering data into databases, verifying the accuracy of information entered, and maintaining databases.
Strong computer skills and experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ChildPlus experience is a plus.
Ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds respectfully and professionally.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to communicate effectively in English and either Spanish or Haitian Creole. Must have strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity—the ability to work efficiently and effectively.
