We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Montclair, NJ. The ideal candidate will have pediatric experience and be able to conduct evaluations to determine the needs of each client. As an Occupational Therapist at MST, duties include performing initial assessments/, teaching clients to use adaptive technology, coaching them through therapeutic activities and working with clients to develop and implement treatment plans that will help them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. You will also work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that clients receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities:
- Assessing the client's physical, communication and cognitive skills to develop a treatment plan. Assessing the home, school and work environments of the client.
- Recommending, implementing and educating the client and caregivers regarding necessary adaptive technology or equipment
- Helping children and adult patients to take part in everyday activities based on their unique circumstances.
- Performing administrative tasks such as completing daily session notes, preparing progress reports as per program timelines, writing evaluation reports and making therapeutic telephone calls
- Educate family members and caregivers on different intervention strategies to facilitate and carry-over.
- Be able to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for ongoing treatment and facilitate goals and treatment plan for parents.
- Maintain the highest clinical and ethical standards in service provision.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid NJ state license and registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Prefer a minimum of 2-year experience with the pediatric population.
