We are seeking an experienced SLP to join our team at Montclair Speech Therapy (MST). The successful candidate will be responsible for preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across a lifespan.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluating and diagnosing speech, language, cognitive, communication, swallowing disorders
- Implementing analytical skills for selecting the best diagnostic tools and analyzing results to identify an accurate diagnosis while developing an effective treatment plan.
- Developing and implementing treatment plans for patients with speech and language, social-communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders
- Providing therapy to patients with a variety of different diagnoses and disorders across a lifespan including the implementation of low or high-tech AAC devices.
- Communicating and discussing diagnoses, assessment results and available treatment options in terms that clients and their families can understand.
- Listening to concerns and symptoms of clients so they can decide the most appropriate course of treatment.
- Using critical thinking skills for adjusting treatment plans as required and identifying alternative ways to assist clients and their families/caregivers.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Attention to detail for maintaining notes on treatment and progress. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Staying current with advances in the field of speech language pathology
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Valid NJ state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
