Monte Sano Research Corporation (MSRC) is a Huntsville-based Small Business specializing in providing full-spectrum defense system engineering, research, design, development, integration, test, evaluation, and planning services to the U.S. Government.
MSRC is seeking a full-time Engineering Technician to join a team of engineers and technicians who perform missile guidance integration and testing for Army missile programs.
Job Description:
- Fabricate cabling and wire harness assemblies.
- Fabrication and testing of electronic assemblies including control panels, specialized test equipment chassis, and electro-optic/electro-mechanical test equipment.
- Read and comprehend electrical/electronic schematics and diagrams.
- Read and comprehend mechanical drawings.
- Modify, maintain, or repair electrical, electronic, or mechanical components, equipment, or systems to ensure proper functioning.
- Assist engineers in the design, development and testing of specialized electronic systems and sub-systems in an R&D environment.
- Create documentation such as electronic/mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, and procedures.
Education:
- Associates Degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years hands-on experience with electronic/mechanical systems and subsystems.
- Soldering certification.
- Must be experienced using hand/power tools, electronic test equipment, and precision measuring equipment.
- Proficient in the use and selection of Mil-Spec cabling tools.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Candidate must currently possess and be able to maintain an active security clearance.
