Description:

PURPOSE -

Perform the functions of the assigned position on the production floor in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Company SOP’s, GMP’s and best practices. Set up and operate Labelers and date coder for day’s production per SOP. The Operator will be required to safely operate the equipment, troubleshoot problems, changeover equipment, perform quality checks, and basic operational maintenance tasks. The Operator will also give guidance on safety, quality, and operations to temporary employees who will be assisting in the area.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES –

  • Set up equipment at start of line, make operational adjustments and shut down equipment per SOP established.
  • Fix operational jams and make operational adjustments as needed.
  • Operate machinery in a safe manner in accordance with Company SOP’s
  • Understand and comply with safety requirements of processing position; keep safety top of mind at all times and prevent co-workers from working unsafely. Report all safety concerns and all accidents and near misses immediately. Participate in processing department safety inspections and accident investigations.
  • Understand and work with established standards to deliver maximum and consistent levels of customer service. Provide world class customer service in providing maximum and consistent quality of spirits within safety, quality and regulatory guidelines.
  • Actively engage in keeping the processing department up to the established standards including GMP, and company requirements. Own the standard operating procedure for the Processor position. Continuously improve quality driven actions that lead to award winning results. Ensure adherence to all Personal Safety, Product Safety, Quality, and Environmental Practices.
  • Continually seek ways to improve performance as measured by departmental KPI's. Understand and adhere to all processing SOPs and best practices to ensure maximum quality standards for spirits and customer service. Proactively generate ideas to improve day-to-day operation of the entire Processing Department. Optimize available resources to continuously improve work environment.
  • Keep workplace and equipment clean and free of debris at all times.
  • Perform start up and shutdown of production line and equipment in accordance with established Company procedures, GMP’s and best practices.
  • Report any needed repairs to maintenance personnel.
  • Support Montebello Brands in achieving operational excellence through problem solving, implementing sustainable processes, and identifying opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness of the assigned area of the production floor.
  • Continually seek ways to improve performance as measured by departmental KPI's. Proactively generate ideas to improve day-to-day operation of the entire Production Department.
  • Optimize available resources to continuously improve work environment to improve safety and reduce cost.
  • Any other duties and special projects assigned by the management.
Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPENTENCIES-

Required

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Ability to operate Industrial equipment as required.
  • Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Good vision and manual dexterity.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 years relevant experience (minimum)
  • At least 21 years of age
  • At least 6 months continuous experience in every previous job.
  • Must be able to work at heights up to 20 feet.

Preferred

  • At least 12 months continuous experience in every previous job.
  • Requires Previous experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENT / WORKING CONDITIONS

Must be available if needed to work up to 12-hour shifts

Extended periods of standing, walking, lifting, reaching, and bending.
