About the Role
Montecito Bank & Trust is offering a paid, part-time Commercial Lending Group Internship in our Commercial Lending Group (CLG). As a Commercial Lending Group Intern, you will deliver a World Class Experience by supporting CLG team members as well as other Bank departments. You will work in a fast-paced environment and work on projects related to annual loan reviews, financial statements, audits, and data analysis. You will be located in Goleta, CA with a fully on-site work schedule.
What We’re Looking For
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of College/University coursework preferred; most relevant coursework would include Economics, Accounting, Finance, & Business.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Driven to learn, proactive, and adaptable.
- Strong analytical capabilities (familiarity with data, data integrity, and report creation).
Your Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Credit Analyst Supervisor, the essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Assist Credit Analysts with the Annual Review Process.
- Review data mapped to new loan origination system for accuracy.
- Spread financial statements.
- Assist in file review for upcoming audits.
- Projects and special tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Internship Schedule
- The internship program will run from May/June 2025 through August/September 2025 (flexible depending on school schedule or other job obligations).
- The position will be on-site up to 20 hours per week, with no ability to work remote, for up to 8 weeks.

The hourly rate for this position is $16.50.
