About the Role
Montecito Bank & Trust is offering a paid, part-time Investment Management Internship in our Wealth Management department. As an Investment Management Intern, you will deliver a World Class Experience by supporting our Wealth Management team members as well as other Bank departments. You will work in a fast-paced environment and work on projects related to audit preparation, client presentations, research, and financial planning analysis. You will be located in Montecito, CA with a fully on-site work schedule.
What We’re Looking For
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of College/University coursework required; most relevant career paths would include Business, Economics, Finance, and Accounting.
- Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
- Understanding of numerical calculations including statistical and performance measurement concepts.
- Driven to learn, pro-active, and curious.
Your Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Portfolio Manager, the essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Audit preparation.
- Compliance testing and tracking.
- Prepare simple client presentation packets and create system templates as necessary.
- Assist with streamlining and documenting processes.
- Assist with financial planning analysis:
- Data entry.
- Deep dive into the financial planning software and crafting a useful template of charts and data for use for future presentations.
- Conduct research on various ETFs and mutual funds as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Internship Schedule
- The internship program will run from May/June 2025 through August/September 2025 (flexible depending on school schedule or other job obligations).
- The position will be on-site up to 24 hours per week, with no ability to work remote, for up to 10 weeks.

The hourly rate for this position is $16.50.
