Assistant Director – Vascular Labs
The Assistant Director of Vascular Labs works closely with the Director of Non-Invasive Cardiology & Vascular Labs and the Sr. Director of Operations, Acute Care to oversee daily operations, patient throughput, and discharge-sensitive cases within Montefiore Einstein’s Acute Care Division. This role ensures seamless technical support for outpatient services and maintains compliance with IAC, Joint Commission, and federal/state regulations.
As a key member of senior leadership, the Assistant Director ensures adherence to regulatory standards, optimizes patient flow, and drives performance improvement initiatives. They oversee vascular technologists and clerical personnel, ensuring excellence in patient care, diagnostic testing, and operational efficiency. Additionally, they manage Revenue Cycle and Supply Chain operations for the vascular testing department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise imaging operations, technical staff, and administrative personnel.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Assist in departmental operations, budgeting, and staffing plans.
- Liaise with providers, insurers, accreditation agencies, and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with IAC, Joint Commission, DOH, and other regulatory bodies.
- Provide cross-coverage for other divisions and campuses.
- Support system enhancements, including EPIC and Medstreaming.
- Strengthen partnerships with ultrasound schools for training programs.
- Oversee orientation, education, and professional development for staff, PAs, and fellows.
- Manage departmental budget and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- Registered Vascular Technologist or Registered Vascular Specialist certification.
- 5 years in a technical role, including 3 years in a hospital setting.
- Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s preferred.
- Healthcare management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of NY service delivery systems, technical imaging standards, and healthcare reimbursement preferred.
- Strong understanding of performance improvement principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, databases).
- Excellent interpersonal, project management, communication, and organizational skills.
Location: 111 E. 210th Street, Bronx, New York
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM-5 PM
Salary: $112,500 to $150,000.00
