What are the responsibilities and job description for the BOARD CERTIFIED/BOARD ELIGIBLE ANESTHESIOLOGIST position at Montefiore Health System?
The Department of Anesthesiology at Montefiore-Einstein is dedicated to advancing medicine and surgery. As a partner across the health system, particularly in perioperative and periprocedural care, we are in a unique position to align efforts and make our system more effective. We are a hub for integrated care. We collaborate with surgery and medicine to ensure equitable care is provided consistently and effectively. We ensure data-based decisions are made every day in the OR, the ICU, the Pain clinic, and the procedural suites of medicine. Most importantly, we serve a large and diverse patient population and aim to ensure that our patients receive the treatment that best serves their individual needs.
We seek Board Certified / Board Eligible Anesthesiologists to join our Ambulatory Surgery Division to meet the expanding needs of the communities we serve. Pediatric Anesthesiology and Regional Anesthesiology training / experience preferred but not mandatory. Our Ambulatory Surgery Center covers bread and butter gynecology, plastics, otorhinolaryngology, vascular, orthopedics, genitourinary, ophthalmology and pediatric cases. Our ambulatory surgery center is at Hutchinson Campus and the care model includes CRNA supervision of up to 4, but usually 3 cases at a time and solo practice. Our Anesthesiologists have numerous opportunities to teach residents, fellows, and medical students. Research opportunities are also available.
Predictable lifestyle with set work hours 7am to 5pm Mon-Friday, late calls occasionally up till closing of the facility usually up to 8.30pm. No mandatory overnight calls.
We offer a competitive base salary of $320,000-465,000, and the opportunity to supplement income through late calls at Hutchinson campus and volitional weekend overnight calls at other Montefiore campuses along with productivity incentives. LTD, STD, paid malpractice, health, dental, vision and a 403(b).
