We are hiring for a Senior Application Analyst on our Epic Willow Inpatient / Pharmacy Systems team. This role has a focus on supporting the maintenance and enhancement of our Epic Willow Inpatient application and associated 3rd party pharmacy systems such as Pyxis, DoseEdge, Apoteca, Sentri7, RxAuditor and more.

Responsibilities :

Install new applications, new components, and upgrade existing applications. Configure application settings.
Provide go-live and rollout support.
Interface with users / clients across the Montefiore Health System. Support users on new applications, modules, and functionality.
Perform analysis of necessary application modifications and work with the appropriate Montefiore IT associates or the vendor to coordinate the modification.
Determine how a new system, upgrade, or new component can best meet the needs of the users :

Analyze business / clinical needs and requirements.

Interpret end user requirements, by fully discussing potential options, and help client move towards optimal solution.

Evaluate the operational workflow that is applied to the system.

Create system specifications from user requirements.

Create test plans and test new systems, version upgrades, and any system modifications.

Document all outcomes of testing.

Application implementation, troubleshooting, and support.

Participate in technical integration and interface build.

Write and maintain accurate and current documentation. Participate in the maintenance of training materials and disseminate materials to users.

Design database queries and create reports utilizing a report-writing tool.

Assist Application Analysts and other team members as necessary. Encourage, assist, and foster development of co-workers’ skills and proficiency.

Provide day-to-day operational support, advanced application troubleshooting support, coordinate modifications and updates, recommend improvements & increase efficiencies and provide pro-active monitoring.

Provide 24 x 7 on-call coverage for user support on a rotating basis.

On an as-needed basis, provide on-site support within the Montefiore Medical Center hospitals and / or its affiliates (on-site, rotational support).

Required :

RPh or PharmD license.

Epic certification preferred (strong consideration will be given to candidates that are not currently certified but can demonstrate ability to become certified).

3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience; clinical and operational workflows.

Application implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and support experience.

Strong desktop skills including Office 365 applications.

Knowledge of SDLC.

Strong presentation skills to senior management stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Critical thinking skills.

Strong interpersonal skills with customers, vendors, peers, and management.

Eager to learn, exceptional listening skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent follow-up skills, documentation skills, and organizational skills.

Must be adaptable in a rapidly changing environment with competing priorities.

Meeting all requirements for Epic certification is a condition of employment.

Desired :

Epic End User Experience in Pharmacy.

Epic Willow Inpatient certification.

3rd party Pharmacy vendor experience.
