With no two patients or days alike, you'll collaborate to provide out-of-the-box, patient-focused strategies. Here are a few of the responsibilities you can expect : Diagnose and treat hospitalized patients, overseeing their treatment and recovery throughout their stay. Work with specialists, nurses, and other providers to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care. Oversee patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring continuity of care post-hospitalization. Regularly assess patient progress and modify treatment plans to optimize health outcomes. Qualifications : What you’ll need as a Hospitalist. Graduate from an accredited medical school. Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine. Active New York State License.
