What are the responsibilities and job description for the OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIAN CERTIFIED position at Montefiore Medical Center?
Performs basic technical duties, screening patients, testing, and other duties as necessary to assist Provider. Maintains clinical area; additional duties to be assigned by Supervisor; Instill eye drops in the eyes of patients.
This position may require travelling to other sites based on operational needs. The shift times vary - 7:30am-4p, 8:00am-4:30pm and 8:30am-5pm
Requirements
High School Diploma
Three (3) years relevant experience
Must be certified in either: Certified Ophthalmic Assistant , (C.O.A), Certified Ophthalmic Technician (C.O.T), Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technician, (C.O.M.T) or Certified Retinal Angiographer (C.R.A).
