Summary:
The Associate Director will be responsible for the planning, directing, coordinating and controlling the operation and activities involved for billing, collections and denial management. Additionally, this position is responsible for the financial control, management and support of the collection and billing activities ensuring timely and accurate payment for hospital services. Manage and oversee the output and quality of all payer accounts receivable under their scope and is expected to collaborate with their payer managers and hospital leadership to identify strategies for performance improvement on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
Additional Responsibilities include:
- Maximizing cash flow
- Provide AR analysis
- Create written processes and procedures
- Identify and implement required training for staff
- Create improved workflows and efficiencies across departments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree. Masters Degree preferred
- Prior experience is a similar role
- Healthcare experience in areas such as AR, collections, billing and financial counseling
- HIPPA compliance, coding, charging and billing
- Proven ability to discuss billing, collections and charging matters with patients in a professional manner
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving ability and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Epic knowledge preferred
- Knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint required
- CRCR , CRCP certifications a plus.
