DESCRIPTION
This position coordinates a smooth patient flow process by answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, providing registration of patient and insurance information, obtaining required signatures following established processes, procedures, and standards. This position also collects patient liability. This individual also accurately posts patients at their point of service and releases information in accordance with organizational and compliance policies and guidelines. Must be able to coordinate front office daily operational responsibilities while performing various functions within the Radiation Oncology Management System including but not limited to, retrieval of appropriate patient medical records, insurance verification, treatment/procedure authorizations and completing patient account registration. Other office duties include receiving patients into the Radiation Oncology department, having patients change for their procedure and guiding patients into exam rooms for appointments with the physician.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma; One year of experience as a Medical Receptionist preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Computer skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
