Montefiore Nyack Hospital, located in Nyack NY has an opportunity for a Director of Compliance in its Corporate Compliance department.
Job Summary: The Director of Compliance is responsible for the oversight of the Montefiore Nyack Hospital Compliance program and to implement all necessary actions to ensure achievement of the objectives of an effective compliance program by means of reviews, relevant training, and a system of consistent enforcement of the rules and the development/implementation of corrective action plans. This position provides a framework for compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory standards and procedures.
Essential Job Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, nursing, finance or related field, MA degree preferred
2. Experience: A minimum of five years related healthcare experience with an understanding of the healthcare regulatory environment. Preferred experience includes responsibility in the areas of Compliance, Auditing, Patient Financial Services, Privacy, Human Resources and/or Quality Assurance.
3. Training/Certification: CHC, CPC, CPC-H preferred
4. Licensure: N/A
5. Other: Knowledge of pertinent federal and state laws related to healthcare, reimbursement polices and ability to comprehend regulatory matters.
