Utilizing skills in a variety of trades (electrical, carpentry, plumbing etc.) performs preventive maintenance, repairs, installations and alterations to equipment throughout the hospital. Responsible for all Life Safety issues and PM’s including fire extinguishers, automatic doors, fire/smoke doors and emergency lighting at the hospital and offsite facilities. Maintains log and follows up on all PFI issues as required by JCAHO. Organizes and oversees all moves and office changes, and performs locksmith duties, repairing & replacing locks, cutting keys and making repairs to doors, cabinets, medication carts etc. as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent. Two years’ work-related experience, one of which is at Nyack Hospital preferred.
