CASHIER

Summary Description

A Cashier is one of the key contact points for our guests’ Shakey’s experience.

A Cashier is responsible for always providing enthusiastic, friendly Shakey’s service to each guest, generating sales, housekeeping, cash register operations (POS).

Accountable for accurate money (cash, credit cards, etc.) handling.

Summary of Essential Duties

•  Provide outstanding service by smiling, welcoming and acknowledging every guest.
•  Maintain solid product, promotions, advertisements and coupon knowledge, whether interacting in person or on the telephone with a guest.
•  Make quick decisions when guest assistance is needed and make suggestions for additional products for a complete Shakey’s guest experience.
•  Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions.
•  Maintain proper money handling and POS accountabilities.
•  Adhere to all policies, procedures and ABC regulations involving alcohol service (sale, pricing and discounting).
• Complete opening/closing procedures for workstation.
• Maintain procedures for a clean and sanitary workstation, including replenishing supplies (glassware, napkins, etc.), cleaning counters and POS monitors, etc.
• Comply with Food Safety and Sanitation requirements for personal, workstation cleanliness and food handling.
• Support other workstations, as needed.
• Cross-train on other workstations.
• Demonstrate teamwork and respect at all times.
• All other duties, as assigned.
