Job Summary
We are a close-knit family that prioritizes trust, integrity, and commitment. As we prepare to become new parents, we're seeking an experienced, compassionate and reliable nanny to assist with our newborn and beyond. We're looking for someone knowledgeable and trustworthy. Both of us work in the medical field and therefore our work hours may vary. Someone with a flexible schedule is preferred. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to fostering a safe and engaging atmosphere, ensuring the well-being of our child while supporting their developmental needs. This role requires flexibility, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children.
Duties
- Supervise and engage our child in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks/ bottle feeds
- Assist with daily routines including bathing, dressing, and diaper changes for newborns/toddlers.
- Provide attentive care ensuring comfort and safety of our child
- Maintain a clean and organized play area, ensuring toys and materials are safe and suitable for use.
- Communicate effectively
- Administer first aid when necessary and maintain a first aid kit readily available.
- Encourage play, exploration, and creativity to our child
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare or nannying is preferred, particularly with newborns, toddlers and preschool-aged children.
- Familiarity with meal preparation for children, including healthy cooking practices.
- Must be child first-aid/CPR certified
- Must be vaccinated withh Tdap, Covid and Flu vaccines
- Must pass background check
- A background in caregiving or early childhood education will be considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both children and parents
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
