Job Summary/Objective:
Maintains equipment and performs repairs on equipment on a regular and as needed basis throughout the community in a manner consistent with the Montereau mission, vision, and values.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain equipment and perform repairs including plumbing, minor electrical, and HVAC in assigned residences and common areas.
- Order supplies and equipment authorized by the Community Services Manager.
- Maintain materials, tools, and equipment in good working order.
- Maintain and keep updated records in the electronic work order system.
- Assist with testing and responding to fire alarms and emergency generator systems.
- Perform monthly maintenance checks of building, grounds, and facilities. May assist inspectors and contractors in the testing, inspection, or repair of equipment, utility/emergency systems, and structure.
- Assist with snow removal and salting to ensure all walkways are passable and safe.
- Perform other related functions as required or as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:
- Ability to effectively interact with a diverse leadership team, staff, residents, and third-party associates, including vendors, providers, and visitors
- General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Basic computer skills to utilize the electronic work order system via iPad or computer.

Education and Experience:
- One year of general maintenance experience is preferred.
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required.
- Valid state driver license is required.
Physical Requirements:
- An extensive amount of standing, walking, kneeling, bending at the waist, and reaching above the head and shoulders.
- Ability to routinely lift and push up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent use of ordinary communication, including normal levels of hearing and vision, including both near and far seeing, color discrimination, field of vision, and depth perception.
