Job Title: Para-educator
Reports to: Executive Director
Evaluated by: Executive Director
Terms of Employment: Subject to the letter of agreement
Work Schedule: Part-time, non-exempt; in accordance with student IEP and academic school calendar. Summer services if needed or Part time; non exempt with Intervention Teachers
Compensation: Commensurate with education & experience in accordance with the MBCS Salary Schedule
Primary Function: Works with Education Specialist to assist special education students in accessing the curriculum and assists classroom teachers to provide appropriate behavior or educational modifications to student learning programs as specified in a student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Extra hours may be available in the after school program. Monterey Bay Charter School is a TK-8 public school serving the Monterey Peninsula.
