POSITION SUMMARY
This description provides general information and principal duties of the position and may be revised as needed. It shall not be construed as a detailed description of all work requirements of the job, nor as an implied contract of employment.
Following MCU established policies and procedures, provide fast, accurate service to members in a friendly and professional manner. Perform basic financial services transactions, open new member accounts, resolve member issues. Demonstrate knowledge of and cross-sell MCU products and services, as appropriate to the member's needs. Fill in for any Teller position as needed. Provide assistance as required by Financial Service Officers.
All Credit Union positions are subject to audio and/or video surveillance. All computer and voice transmissions are subject to review by management personnel.

As with all Credit Union positions, excellent attendance and respect for punctuality are essential to fulfilling the responsibilities and expectations of this position.
1. Effectively sell credit union products and services to meet members’ needs.
2. Greet all visitors/members with a smile, introduce yourself and either assist them with their need or direct them to the appropriate person. Call them by name whenever possible.
3. Monitor and pace member flow to minimize wait and ensure a high level of service.
4. Provide friendly and accurate service in a quick and professional manner to ensure service standards are met.
5. Demonstrate knowledge of MCU products, services and automated systems by efficiently answering questions, processing routine transactions accurately, educating members about MCU products and services. (Be able to communicate all product information contained in Product Knowledge Handbook.)
6. Provide assistance as a Teller or to the Teller staff.
7. Provide assistance to Financial Service Officers.
8. Follow security precautions and procedures.
9. Take all on-line and class-room training as provided by MCU to know and understand all rules, regulations, and procedures as stipulated by the federal government’s Bank Secrecy Act and the Anti-Laundering Money Act (BSA/ALM) the USA Patriot Act, Privacy Act and Understanding OFAC and pass exams on an annual basis.
10. Comply with all regulations of BSA/ALM, USA Patriot Act and OFAC. Monitor and report suspicious activity to the BSA Officer.
11. Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Good reading, writing, math.
EXPERIENCE: Teller/operations experience in a full service financial institution, preferred

CONTACTS: Constant member contact in person; regular contact with other staff.
SUPERVISION: Direction, guidance, and coaching from Financial Service Supervisor, and Branch Manager.
MONETARY IMPACT: Errors are usually discovered in succeeding operations and are normally confined to a single group or phase of credit union activities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.75 - $32.12 per hour
