Summary of Role:
As a Payment Processing Rep, you will play a crucial role in managing various financial transactions and ensuring the smooth operation of our banking services. Your responsibilities will encompass handling incoming mail, processing checks, ACH, and Credit Card batches, managing NSF transactions, and processing lockbox payments.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Gathering application details over the phone.
- Inputting application into our platform for an underwriting decision.
- Compiling newly executed contracts.
- Completing consumer verification calls while coordinating/prepping required documentation.
- Assist consumers with e-sign.
- Review consumer disputes received from the credit bureaus and respond accordingly.
- Handle various monthly processes that require attention to detail.
- Act as liaison between company and its merchants.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and skills:
- Reliability and the desire to learn
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent communication, active listening and problem solving skills
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Comfortable with fast-paced environments
- Basic math and typing skills
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software
- Strong time management skills and ability to multitask
- Effectively identify and solve problems
- Basic credit and/or collection knowledge a plus
Education and/or Experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Call Center Experience (preferred, not required)
- Customer Service Experience (preferred, not required)
Physical Demands:
This job operates its functions in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear using a telephone headset and is required to sit for a long period while using a computer. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
