What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cottage Coordinator - ALF position at Monterey Village?
Cottages Coordinator to provide services to our senior tenants in an independent living setting. The Cottages of Monterey Village is an intimate setting of 14 cottage units. Ideal candidate will be able to support the cottages in a concierge role. Duties will include oversight of cottages, daily mail delivery and wellness check, assisting with housekeeping duties and meal service and activities. Coordinator will also assist in curb-side courtesy transportation. This position will start at 20 hours per week and increase with move-in to full-time. Hours to start will be 11:30am-3:30pm 5 days per week with alternating weekends scheduled off.
As
Cottage Coordinator you have an enormous impact on the daily lives of
independent living residents. You will work with your residents to design a
calendar of meaningful social events and outings. You will assist with daily meal service and
collaborate with the dining department on special events for Cottage residents,
guests and families. You will serve as a
resource to our Cottage residents by connecting them with services in the
community and helping arrange or provide transportation when needed. You
will also serve as an ambassador of our Cottage community by touring
prospective residents and their families.
Essential Functions: Reasonable

- Develop services needed for IL residents in coordination with the
Administrator, Operations Director, and Elder Care Advisor.
- Coordinate and Host Activities for our Independent
Living residents with input on activities from the current IL Seniors.
- Develop, distribute, and execute activities on the
monthly Activity calendar
- Recruit and schedule Volunteers
- Arrange transportation as needed for the IL
residents
- Manage Services Provided at the Club house
including meal service & Serve lunch at the Club house to IL seniors Monday
– Friday
- Assure Housekeeping services are performed and
meets Community expectations for the Cottages and the clubhouse
- Monitor services provided at the Club house,
Cottages, and Patio Homes
- Manage reservations of and activities in the Club
house by maintaining a Community calendar for events
- Provide feedback to the Administrator on services
provided to the independent living residents including meals, housekeeping
services, and transportation provided by self and other staff
- Develop neighborhood committee to solicit feedback
from IL seniors
- Make seniors feel welcome when moving into IL units,
help coordinate new move ins and provide welcome gift to new residents and
introduce to other IL neighbors.
- Be a resource for the seniors in our Independent
Living Cottages by researching services available in the area, assisting with
needed services ie. dry cleaning pick-up, fitness centers, financial services,
volunteer opportunity, transportation, etc.
