Responsibilities:
Oversee, lead and support multiple warehouse departments
Create a safe and positive work environment through employee engagement
Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports to ensure consistent administration of company policies and standards
Demonstrate a high degree of business sense
Manage warehouse appearance and maintenance
Ensures departments are adequately staffed
Holds team accountable to steps of service to deliver great internal and external customer service
Ensures departments have the tools necessary to complete their jobs
Provides problem/issue resolution for customers and other personnel to ensure optimal positive customer experience
Observes and complies with MTC policies and promptly reports unsafe conditions to management; promotes safety among peers.
Control department expenses while maintaining positive profit margins
Conducts performance evaluations for direct reports (after 90-days and Annually) in accordance with policy
Partners with HR and General Manager when addressing employee relations issues
Meet and exceed budget sales figures and maintain budgeted gross profit
Collaborates effectively with others for the success of the location; promotes a free flow of information & ideas across departments. Ensures all customers, internal and external, are kept informed of issues
Exhibits a positive attitude. Promotes superior leadership and customer service
Has the knowledge and business skills to perform the job. Takes time to learn new things, asks questions to avoid mistakes.
Qualifications:
· Bachelors Degree in Management or equivalent experience/education
· Minimum 10 years previous warehouse management experience
· Must be able to work in outdoor elements
· Must be able to lift up to 75lbs
· Must be able to pass a felony background check
· Microsoft Office Computer skills
· Record of successful distribution and logistics management
· Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
· Strong leadership skills and ability to manage staff
· Strong decision making and problem solving skills
· Excellent communication skills
