Warehouse Lead
Monterrey Tile, a leader in the tile and stone industry, is seeking a Warehouse Lead for our Chandler, AZ location. This position reports to the Shipping/Loading Supervisor and oversees activities in the Loading department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist overseeing operation of various functions within the warehouse/loading department
- Lead staff, including delegating tasks, reporting absences, providing performance feedback and other duties as required
- Set an example for all employees by working in a safe manner, abiding by all Safety policies and procedures, and using all assigned PPE
- Monitor the safety of team members and colleagues and report concerns to the Department Supervisor and Warehouse Manager
- Report major problems or concerns with processes, employees or equipment within the department to the Supervisor
- Perform quality inspection on product leaving the designated area
- Assist new team member training
- Communicate deadlines to team members and provide hands-on support when there are operational delays
- Provide courteous customer service to internal staff requesting services from the team
- Work closely with employees to ensure the team is meeting production goals
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years previous experience as a Lead
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs
- Ability to read and interpret invoiced orders
- Basic math abilities
- Strong problem solving, communication and organizational skills
- Uncompromising commitment to safety
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others
Job type: Full time
Pay: $20-$22 DOE
Shift: Days, Monday Friday, Rotating Saturdays
