What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Director / Principal position at Montessori Academy of Decatur?
The Director / Principal must have 3 years administration experience in addition to at least 3 years of classroom teaching experience. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and a passion for authentic early childhood education. A Bachelor is required, experience with STEM and Charter school preferred, and Montessori, Reggio or Waldorf credential is a plus.
Responsibilities include the following:
- All aspects of daily operations
- Planning and implementation of both short and long-term goals of the organization
- Oversight of annual fundraising efforts and Capital Campaign implementation
- Ensuring successful adherence to Stars for Quality criteria and the Georgia Regulated Child Care statutes
- Faculty support, development and evaluation
