Summary
As a substitute Spanish Teacher at Montessori Children's Center, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity in our students' Spanish education when the teacher is unavailable. From April - August, this will be a daily substitute position, and then as needed moving forward. This position is essential in supporting our mission to provide a nurturing and effective learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure a seamless learning experience.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a positive and respectful atmosphere.
- Support students in their learning activities, fostering independence and confidence.
- Communicate effectively with students to encourage engagement and understanding.
- Assist in maintaining an organized classroom environment that promotes learning.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure the smooth operation of the classroom during absences.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working with students in an educational setting.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with students and staff.
- Familiarity with curriculum development is a plus but not required.
- Background in private school settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to manage classrooms effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
