Job Title: After School Teacher

Hours: Monday – Friday Part-Time, 2:45p.m – 6:00p.m

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Afterschool Teacher to join our team starting in August 2025. The Afterschool Teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging and educational activities for students in a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong desire to make a positive impact on their lives.

Responsibilities:

• Plan appropriate indoor activities for students
• Supervise and ensure the safety of students at all times, both indoors and outdoors on the playground
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective program

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred; High School diploma required
• Montessori experience/credential a plus
• Experience working with children in a classroom or daycare setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to implement engaging and educational activities
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their lives
• Child care clearances, including Child Abuse, Fingerprinting report, Criminal Background check, and CPR/First Aid certification required
• Two letters of references required

Physical Demands:

• Audible voice and adequate hearing and vision are required in order to supervise the students
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods of time, including bending, stooping and crouching to interact with young children
• Ability to lift a small child, up to 50 pounds

Working Conditions:

• Work is primarily indoors in a classroom setting or outside at our playground
• May be exposed to noise and distractions from children and other staff members
• May be required to attend special events or programs

Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
