Montessori Children’s House (MCH) of Blue Bell is looking for a Part-Time Afternoon Teacher Assistant to join our dedicated team. At MCH, we embrace the educational philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori and foster a supportive, inclusive community for children, families, and staff.
Position Details
- Title: Part-Time Afternoon Teacher Assistant
- Location: Montessori Children's House, Blue Bell, PA
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–6:00 PM
- Additional hours may be available for interested candidates
What You’ll Do
As an Afternoon Assistant, you'll help create a calm, engaging end to the school day. Your role will include supporting classroom activities, preparing for dismissal, and contributing to the safe, caring environment that helps children thrive. While Montessori experience is a plus, it’s not required—we provide training for the right candidate!
What We’re Looking For
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in early childhood education, childcare, or a related field
- Qualities: Dependable, nurturing, team-oriented, and eager to learn
- Bonus: Familiarity with Montessori principles is helpful—but not essential
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to obtain (or already possess) state-mandated background clearances
- A current health assessment including a TB test, as required by Pennsylvania child care licensing regulations
