Organization purpose
Montessori del Mundo (MdM) is a public Dual-Language Montessori charter school in Aurora CO. MdM follows the Montessori philosophy and curriculum and uses a research-based dual language model with the goal of bilingualism and biliteracy for all students. Academic instruction is in both Spanish and English to prepare students for the future bilingual world.

The purpose of the Academic Administrative Assistant position is to support the instructional and administrative work of the school in service of growing and developing each child as a bilingual leader.
Accountabilities and Expectations
- Providing task and project-level support for members of the C-Team on an as-needed basis
- Managing sub-board
- Providing Sub coverage in classrooms
- Supporting operations and logistics with regularly scheduled arrival, mid-day, and/or dismissal duties
- Coordinating field trips and class excursions - accept all requests, review with the Executive Director, and arrange transportation, payment, and lunch orders.
- Collaborating with coordinators and the family liaison to ensure the integrity of student, parent, and staff data in Infinite Campus.
- Ensuring data integrity in all platforms, adding and removing students and staff promptly.
- Serving as the school assessment coordinator
- Communicating specific technology needs, including projectors, laptops, headphones, Chromebooks, iPads, and printers, to the IT Director two weeks before the date needed using the support ticket communication tool
- Downloading all necessary reports from platforms within three days of the last student contact day
- Coordinating conferences
- Following up on Tier 2 Attendance in collaboration with grade-level coordinators
- Coordinating schedules and activities for high school Interns
- Serving as Event Orchestrator for schoolwide and family engagement events
- Providing a spirit of hospitality at school gatherings, public events, and family engagement activities
Qualifications/Individual Education and Experience
- Associates Degree
- Native or native-like fluency in Spanish AND English, ability to provide written and oral translation, communicate with parents, and participate in staff meetings in both languages
- 3 years experience in an administrative support role
- Strong knowledge of the Google Suite and Microsoft Suite of Products
- Current CPR/First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain before student arrival
- Experience working in a school environment
- Previous experience coordinating or administering state standardized tests
- Bachelor’s degree in business, education, or related field

Working conditions
This position will require the employee to move about the classroom and building regularly including climbing stairs, getting up and down from the floor, walking on uneven surfaces (playground), and may involve sitting or standing for extended periods. There are occasions when you may be required to be outside for a short period in inclement weather. This position requires some flexibility to attend occasional events on evenings and/or weekends throughout the year in support of the community.
Physical requirements
This position will require sitting, standing, bending, reaching, and occasional climbing on stools. Candidates must be able to navigate stairs and lift up to 20 lbs.

Salary
The full-time starting salary range for this position is $39,000 - $57,000 annually depending on education and experience.
