Preschool Teacher

Position: Lead Teacher or Assistant Teacher (Montessori Program)

• Assistant Teacher: $15-17/hr
• Lead Teacher: $18-21/hr

We are hiring because:

1) We are expanding to establish a new preschool classroom starting this summer

2) One of our beloved teachers is relocating to a different state in summer

3) We need an extra summer staff member for our summer program

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate and supports children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
• Plan and execute daily lessons and activities that align with the curriculum.
• Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes cultural awareness and respect for diversity.
• Observe and evaluate children's progress and provide regular feedback to parents.
• Collaborate with other teachers to create an engaging and cohesive learning environment.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Montessori Education, or a related field (for Lead Teacher).
• Montessori certification from an accredited institution preferred (for Lead Teacher).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in a Montessori classroom or a licensed childcare center for preschool-age children (for Lead Teacher).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for working with young children and a deep understanding of child development.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
