Position Overview:
Montessori Reggio Academy is hiring Assistant Montessori Teachers for all age groups at our new Katy, Texas location. This role is perfect for compassionate and dedicated individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and eager to support children in reaching their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and activities.
- Support the development of curriculum tailored to meet the needs of all students.
- Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Help manage classroom behavior and promote positive interactions among students.
- Provide individualized support to students, including those with special needs such as autism.
- Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding student development and classroom activities.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with students in a classroom, daycare, or similar setting.
- Knowledge of Montessori principles is preferred but not required (training provided).
- Strong understanding of childhood development theories and practices.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles.
- Experience working with children with autism or other developmental challenges is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well as part of a team while being self-motivated.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
