Calaveras Montessori, a private boutique preschool located on the Milpitas Unified School District Campus, is actively searching for a lead administrator to serve as our Assistant Head of School.
In this role you would be responsible for teaming with the Head of School to manage the day to day operations of the school and support the members of the school community which includes children, parents & staff alike.
The focus of this role is to ensure that all members of our school community have a great experience whenever interacting with the school. This ranges from ensuring that all families are onboarded and billed properly, to ensuring that the classrooms run effectively every day, to managing the inventory of snack and supplies.
The variety of activity that this role supports is very wide and for example can include covering classroom ratio, loading the dishwasher, or doing the classroom laundry.
Specifically designed to divide critical responsibilities between the Head of School and Assistant Head of School, this role requires a willingness to jump in and do 'whatever it takes' to maintain the smooth operation of the school.

Qualifications:
- Experience working in a pre-school or other academic environment is preferred
- Montessori experience or credentials are a huge plus
- Absent Montessori experience, you will be required to buy into the Montessori philosophy and take Montessori fundamentals and administrative training
- Demonstrated experience working with computing devices (mobile & pc)
