Salary : $21-$23 / HR
The Montessori School of Silicon Valley seeks exceptional certified or soon-to-be certified Montessori teacher to join our unique community. Our year-round program consists of a diverse community of families and educators. We seek to establish and maintain a positive and prepared Montessori environment to support each child to reach their fullest potential. Our classrooms are fully implemented Montessori environments.
Commitment to developmentally appropriate practice for children 3 to 6 years in the Montessori tradition.
A strong understanding and implementation of the Montessori method with the ability to share knowledge with current and future families.
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work with children enrolling throughout the year.
Confidence working with a variety of cultures, languages and family structures.
Ability to develop classroom setting that is organized and engaging. Comfortable with all written communication and documentation. Embraces parent involvement in classroom.
Minimum requirements :
Enrolled in or completed MACTE Accredited Training Program, either currently in course work or in an internship.
We are looking for the right guide to work under one of our Montessori guides for 6-9 months, and then be ready to lead a classroom of 36 children.
AA or BA desired but not required
CPR and First Aid Certification.
1 year experience in a Montessori classroom.
Positions are full-time, year-round with three weeks paid vacation, school holidays, and paid sick time. We offer health insurance, and a competitive salary.
