We are seeking a nurturing and energetic assistant teacher to join our team. If you enjoy working in learning environments where children can develop independence, confidence, and experience joy, this may be the job for you.
This position is a traveling position where the Assistant Teacher would be helping to support our 3 Bay Area campus locations (2 Milpitas campuses and 1 Santa Clara campus) as a substitute and support teacher.
Responsibilities:
> Works with the classroom lead guide and other members of the school staff to create a nurturing, vibrant, and safe environment for children.
> Ensures that the classroom is always well-prepared and organized. Helps to create new materials and ensure that existing materials and shelves are routinely cleaned and organized.
> Assumes a supporting role in the supervision of both classroom and playground to ensure the safety and physical well-being of the children at all times.
> Assists in redirecting and supervising children throughout the day. Serves as a social-emotional role model in the classroom. Montessori educational philosophy will be provided.

> Organized and attentive to detail
> Ability to move with ease throughout the classroom and playground environment.
> Excellent communicator and collaborator
> Warm, professional, and calm demeanor
> Fun sense of humor
> Interest in/knowledge of Montessori principles; Montessori training is not required, however is available through our school.
> A minimum of 12 ECE units, CPR/First Aide
> Able to obtain criminal record clearance
Hours are full-time Monday Through Friday – Medical, Dental, PTO/Sick Holiday pay and 401K benefits
An hourly position: Rate Dependent on Experience
Reliable Transportation Required
