Job Summary
The Maintenance Director is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations within the facility, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning optimally. This role involves managing a team of maintenance personnel, coordinating repair and maintenance activities, and implementing preventive maintenance programs. The Maintenance Director will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Duties
- Lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure effective operation of all facilities.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Oversee HVAC systems, ensuring they are maintained and repaired as needed.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking work orders, inventory, and maintenance schedules.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Fabricate parts or components as necessary to support maintenance activities.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting using tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
- Maintain mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, and conveyors, ensuring they operate efficiently.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs or services when needed.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices in industrial maintenance.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and their maintenance requirements.
