Position Summary: Responsible for the overall management of the school office; various secretarial and clerical functions; basic accounting and bookkeeping functions; record keeping and report preparation. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.
Essential Duties:
- Provides secretarial and clerical support for building administrator(s)
- Responds to telephone calls, routes calls, takes messages and assists staff, parents and community with concerns and questions
- Performs various financial and budgetary accounting procedures and generates all required attendant reports
- Maintains various computerized and hard copy student records
- Prepares various reports as required by the district, the state department of education and the state government
- Administers first aid and medication in the absence of the school nurse
- Supervises students in office in disciplinary and non-disciplinary situations
- Prepares a variety of communications (i.e. newsletters, bulletins, etc.) and distributes to the appropriate recipients (staff, students, parents, community)
- Processes purchase orders
- Maintains management of the office in the absence of the building administrator
- Manages arrangements for substitute personnel and maintains attendant records
- Performs other related duties as assigned and requested
Position Requirements:
- Minimum Education - Specialized classes beyond high school
Minimum Experience:
- One to three years

Specific vision abilities required that this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.
