Wedding and Event Supervisor
Montfair Resort Farm is an award-winning wedding venue and eco-friendly vacation resort. The 129-acre, family-owned and operated, recreational resort has served as a community resource that honors the rich cultural history of the area and has been a feature of Albemarle County’s rural economy since the 1960’s. Nine renovated cedar cottages and the Events Lodge overlook a spring fed lake, surrounding woodlands, naturalized wetlands, trail system and three other small fishing ponds. Montfair is an important contributor to the continued growth of Central Virginia’s tourism and a unique affordable option in the area. The property is also managed with a Virginia State certified forestry plan for conservation and wildlife habitat.

Montfair Resort Farm is located 3 miles North of White Hall near Crozet, Virginia and is seeking a part-time Evening Event & Facility Supervisor. This person will represent Montfair Resort Farm during private events and weddings where they will oversee guests, vendors and caters, reinforce Montfair policies for safety, tend the bonfire and supervise the event and the use of the Montfair facilities. Fridays and Saturdays are evenings. 60 event afternoon/ nights are available to cover from March 7, 2025 - to end of November 2025.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure all rental spaces are in top condition before, during, and at the conclusion of each event
- Work with Daytime Event Staff to transition into evening event supervisory position
- Assist with parking and directing traffic for wedding ceremony
- Provide 5-star welcoming hospitality and service
- Communicate with Vendors, Catering Staff and Event planner.
- Be responsible for reporting any issues with guests or vendors to the Event Planner.
- Be in communication with wedding couples and their family and staff when necessary
- Monitor vendors during event set up and during breakdown
- Monitor event guests during entire event to ensure safety and that all policies are followed
- Maintain facility during the event, including troubleshooting any issues with HVAC, fireplace, bonfire, lighting, parking area, lake front.
- Light bonfire at specified time, monitor and put wood on fire.
- Lock canoes at dark
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 26 years old or older
- Excellent communication skills
- Enjoy hospitality
- Able to lift 40lbs
- Hospitality, event, and/or wedding experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Evening, weekend, and holiday availability
Typical end time:
- Between 12AM and 1AM
Typical start time:
- Varies between 2PM and 4PM

Job Type: Part-time with ability to work 30- 60 event nights from March- to end of November.
Pay: Starting Pay $20 per hour
