Do you love people as much as their pets? Montgomery Animal Hospital is a privately owned, AAHA accredited hospital that is looking for our next incredible Veterinary Receptionist! We treat dogs, cats and exotic pets (no exotics experience necessary).
We are a thriving multi-doctor practice in the Kenwood area and we are seeking a full-time Veterinary Receptionist passionate about making people's lives easier to join our outstanding team! Our ideal candidate has customer service experience and knows how to go above and beyond to wow our clients. You are detail-oriented, computer savvy, quick to learn, eager to help your team, and can multitask with a smile. Don't tell the vets - this is the hardest job in the hospital.
Compensation is based on experience and ranges $16-22/hour.

Examples of Job Duties:
- Professional and courteous pet owner communication
- Responding promptly to pet owner inquiries through multiple several channels, including phone, text, email, and our online partner platforms
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Invoicing and processing payments efficiently and accurately
- Reminding pet owners of upcoming appointments and relaying important visit information
- Preparing prescription medications as directed by our veterinarians
- Collaborating with veterinarians and other team members to deliver exceptional customer service following hospital guidelines for our standards of care
- Meeting regularly with the front desk team to collaborate on improvements and problem solving
- Continuously looking for ways to improve internal processes, customer service, and overall dynamics within the receptionist department
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- At least 6 months of experience in a customer-facing role
- Computer literacy
- Ability to communicate with a diverse clientele in a professional and courteous manner
- Passion to help the people who care about their pets
