Summary
As a Block Layer/Brick Layer at Montgomery Brinkman, LLC, you will be integral to our construction team in executing high-quality masonry work. This role is essential in delivering our commitment to excellence in facility services while contributing to the successful completion of various projects. This is a "do all" kind of position, tasks will vary weekly from concrete to masonry. Mostly small repair jobs, some larger jobs.
Responsibilities
- Lay blocks and bricks according to specifications and project requirements.
- Prepare surfaces for installation by ensuring proper alignment and leveling.
- Mix mortar and other materials as needed for masonry work.
- Install various types of masonry units including concrete blocks, bricks, and stone.
- Perform repairs and renovations on existing structures as required.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations on the construction site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Block Layer/Brick Layer or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of masonry techniques and materials.
- Familiarity with hand tools and masonry equipment.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks effectively.
- Concrete experience a plus
