What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aide- Pre-K position at Montgomery Co?
Qualifications:
- A two-year college degree, or 48 college semester hours, or Work-keys test required
- Nine (9) hours of early childhood education course-work or Child Development Associate (CDA)
- Experience working with pre-school age children is preferred
- Ability to carry out tasks requiring moderate physical exertion
- Ability to follow oral and written instruction
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Daily attendance and punctuality are required for ensuring that program goals are met
- Assists pre-kindergarten students individually or in groups with lesson assignments for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing learning concepts
- Implements, under the supervision of the teacher, the instructional program and lesson plans
- Monitors individual students, classroom, library, playground activities, etc. to ensure a safe and positive learning environment
- Learns and maintains knowledge of policies
- Performs routine record keeping and reports and clerical functions
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive data and information pertaining to individual students and/or overall program
- Assume reasonable job-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor in order to meet the needs of the students/school
