What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Softball Coach position at Montgomery Co?
Qualifications:
- Current Alabama Teacher’s Certification (preferred) or classified dependent upon qualifications of the person holding the position
- Previous Experience in sports as a participant and/or coach (preferred) but not required
- Completion of all requirements set forth by the AHSAA Coaches’ Education Program
- Must have or be willing to obtain CDL
- Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of softball and a willingness to examine new theories and procedures
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Assists the head softball coach with instructing student-athletes in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical conditioning necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success
- Ability to work with players, parents, administration, and other coaches
- To adhere to the MPS Athletics Code of Ethics and Conduct for Sports Coaches
- Attend the AHSAA sponsored rules clinic for his/her sport
- Board Approved Stipend $800.00.
