What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Cheerleader Coach - Magnet position at Montgomery Co?
Qualifications:
- Current Alabama Teacher’s Certification (preferred) or classified dependent upon qualifications of the person holding the position
- Previous Experience in sports as a participant and/or coach (preferred) but not required
- Completion of all requirements set forth by the AHSAA Coaches’ Education Program
- Must have or be willing to obtain CDL
Essential Duties:
- Directly responsible for all school cheerleading activities
- Instruct athletes in fundamentals, develop character, model expected behavior
- Ability to work with players, parents, administration and other coaches
- To adhere to the MPS Athletics Code of Ethics and Conduct for Sports Coaches
- Attend the AHSAA sponsored rules clinic for his/her sports
- Board Approved Stipend $2,000.00 plus 10 extra days
