Job Goal:

inventory management and coordination with relevant personnel.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and experience necessary to perform
- Verified proof of successful work experience in logistics is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Competency in using office equipment, including computers and scanners.
- Ability to possess and maintain a valid Alabama driver’s license and MPS insurable
- Successful clearance through FBI and ABI background checks.
- Ability to work an eight (8) hour day and overtime as requested.
- Proficient in basic computer operations for reports and inventory management.
- Ability to follow both oral and written instructions effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Skill in operating delivery trucks and other system-owned vehicles.
- Proficient in the use of tools and equipment relevant to assigned tasks.
- Knowledge of safety rules and regulations in the workplace.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals and perform as a team
Performance Responsibilities:
- Supervise skilled laborers and helpers in the Inventory section of the department.
- Lead and coordinate periodic inspections of school inventory and records to ensure
- Receive, log, barcode, and update materials in the district-wide inventory system.
- Work with finance and school-based inventory personnel to ensure accurate district
- Prepare monthly reports, file reports, and manage phone communications as directed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all equipment and supplies housed in the
- Source, order, and distribute printed materials for the district.
- Travel across the district to audit school inventories.
- Maintain necessary credentials to operate vehicles and equipment, promptly reporting
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other logistics-related duties as assigned by the supervisor to meet departmental
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds of materials and equipment frequently.
- Ability to walk and stand for 95% of the work shift.
- Ability to regularly climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
- Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting.
- Exposure to extreme environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and chemicals.
