What are the responsibilities and job description for the SECURITY COMMUNICATION OPERATOR position at Montgomery Co?
- Receive emergency and non-emergency telephone calls and initiate an appropriate response.
- Dispatch on the MPS Security radio system
- Monitor MPS Transportation radio system
- View MPS CCTV system and keep appropriate Security personnel apprised of all illegal and/or suspicious activity
- Monitor all MPS Fire and intrusion alarms and initiate appropriate response to alarm activations
- Communicate emergency situations to e-911 operator and arrange for the appropriate law enforcement, fire or medical response
- Receive non-emergency calls and provide an appropriate response or refer to the appropriate MPS employee or department
- Document all activity as directed by immediate supervisor
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
