Job Description
Montgomery College, WDCE, is currently accepting applications for possible openings as a part-time WDCE faculty member teaching an Information Technology course. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated instructors who exhibit a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to our students, and the ability to motivate and educate in an engaging manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on technology training to adult learners in preparation for industry certification and/or employment in technical roles.
- Teach courses in-person and/or remotely on weekday evenings or weekends.
- Collaborate with staff and faculty on curriculum development and updates.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, skills-based instruction aligned with course objectives.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and submit administrative documentation promptly.
- Support students through effective communication and timely feedback.
Required Qualifications:

For Cybersecurity Instructors:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field OR the equivalent combination of education, training, certification and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and expertise to perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
- Industry-recognized certification such as CompTIA Security , CEH, CISSP, etc.
- Familiarity with core cybersecurity topics, including network security, threat analysis, risk management, and security tools.

For Data Analytics Instructors:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field OR the equivalent combination of education, training, certification and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and expertise to perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
- Industry certifications such as Google Data Analytics, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, etc.
- Experience using data analysis and visualization tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or Python (Pandas, Matplotlib).
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying and managing data in relational databases.

For Networking Instructors:
- Bachelor’s degree in Networking, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field OR the equivalent combination of education, training, certification and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and expertise to perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
- Industry-recognized certification such as CompTIA Network , Cisco CCNA, or equivalent.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including routing and switching, IP addressing, network security, and protocols.

- Access to a personal computer with virus protection that can connect to the internet outside of the work location (i.e., office, classroom, college campus) *. Montgomery College (MC) provides an MC e-mail account and access to the learning platform, password-protected faculty sections of the website, college listservs, and other faculty communications tools. *If you do not have access to a personal computer, please notify the department chair at the time of the interview. Subject to available funds, the college may be able to provide temporary access to resources.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Industry-recognized Certifications.
- Experience working with adult learners or nontraditional students.
- Experience teaching in hybrid, in-person, and online formats.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms (e.g., Blackboard).
For degrees earned outside of the U.S., a copy of your education equivalency, conducted by a nationally recognized evaluation service, must be included in your application.
Employees must live in Maryland or a state where the College has payroll reciprocity (DC, VA, PA, WV, DE, MA).
