We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Instructor to join our educational team. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum that meets educational standards and student needs.
- Deliver lectures and facilitate discussions to enhance student understanding of subject matter.
- Supervise and mentor students during practical sessions, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and practical evaluations.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to promote academic growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance using Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Collaborate with faculty members on curriculum development and instructional strategies.
- Stay updated on advancements in the field through clinical research and professional development opportunities.
Skills
- Proven experience in higher education teaching with a focus on adult education methodologies.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to guide and motivate students effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy, dental terminology, and patient care practices.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) for course delivery and assessment.
- Experience in clinical research is preferred to enhance instructional content.
- Ability to develop comprehensive curricula that align with educational objectives.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex concepts.
- Experience working with diverse student populations to foster an inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications & Degree Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher required.
- Must be a Dental Assisting National Board-Certified Dental Assistant in the state of North Carolina.
- Must have occupational experience in the application of fourhanded dentistry principles, either as a dental assistant or working with a chairside assistant.
- Be a graduate of a CODA accredited program
- Organization skills, adherence to detail, and follow-up are essential.
- Minimum of two years teaching experience in a CODA accredited Dental Assisting program.
- Demonstration of background in educational methodology coursework experience.
- Current Continuing Dental Education experience in Dental Assisting course content.
- Current CPR certification.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and sit; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The employee is often required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and far vision and ability to adjust focus.
